Your book, properly published.
Aurevel House is a publishing house in Johannesburg. We take your book from manuscript to finished copy, and we stay with you after it's printed.
How we work with you
Printing the book is only part of the job. Most authors are left on their own once it's done. We help with what comes after, too.
- 01
Editing
We read your manuscript and tell you honestly what it needs, then work through the edits with you.
- 02
Design and production
Cover, layout, ISBN and legal deposit, and the finished print and ebook editions.
- 03
Your author profile
A proper bio, photos and a book page, so readers and event organisers can find you.
- 04
Speaking
Help turning your book into a talk, and finding your first places to give it.
What's included

- Print and ebook production
- Author bio, photo direction and a book page on our site
- Help developing a talk based on your book
Founded by an author
Aurevel House was started by someone who has written, published and spoken about a book of his own. We know what the process feels like from the author's side, and we've built the house around that.
Questions
Do I need a finished manuscript?
No. Some authors come to us with a complete draft, others with a few chapters or just an idea. We'll tell you what the sensible next step is.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the length of the book and how much editing it needs. You'll get a written quote after our first conversation, before any work starts.
What happens after I get in touch?
We reply within two working days to set up a call. After the call, we send you a written plan for your book.
Do you only work with South African authors?
No. We're based in Johannesburg and work with authors wherever they are.
Tell us about your book
Fill in your details and a few lines about the book. We read every message ourselves and reply within two working days.
